Standing Boy Trail Festival
The Standing Boy Trail Festival is a multi-day trail running event held at the Standing Boy Trails in Columbus, Georgia. The course is situated near the Chattahoochee River and features flowing, smooth single-track trails designed for a variety of running experiences. The festival offers several race distances over the course of the weekend:
- Night Time Vertical 5K: An out-and-back mountain course with 400 feet of elevation gain.
- 10 Miler: A single loop on the trail system with a 3.5-hour time limit.
- Canicross 10 Miler: A dog-friendly version of the 10-mile race using an opposing loop.
- 50K: Three laps of the 10-mile loop with a 9.5-hour time limit.
The 50K and 10 Miler follow a 10-mile loop that returns to the start and finish area. For the 50K, a fully stocked aid station is available, and runners may set up personal drop bags at the main staging area. The Night Time Vertical 5K requires all participants to use a headlamp or light source.
Participants receive specific amenities based on their chosen distance. All finishers are awarded a unique medal for each race completed. Additionally, 5K participants receive an insulated cooler, 10 Miler runners receive a beach towel, and 50K participants receive a t-shirt.
Parking at the venue requires a fee or a yearly pass. Due to limited parking capacity, the event has a restricted number of entrants.
