Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round
The event is a fell run around the Pendle Massif, starting and finishing outside Barley Village Hall. The route visits parts of the hill less used by other races and combines defined paths with boggy moorland, steep climbs, grassy descents and sections where runners may choose their line. A route map will be available for free to download from the Clayton Harriers website. At the time of publication the organisers anticipate the 2027 route will match the 2026 route.
The course includes a series of manned checkpoints located on the moor and features the following control points: Shelter beyond Trig Point, Scout Cairn, Gate to Calf Hill, Woodhouse brook wall and stream, Broken Wall Stile Fence, and Gate to Fell Wood. Start and finish are outside Barley Village Hall.
Entries open on 1 December 2026 and close on 3 March 2027. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fees are listed as GBP 7.00 for FRA members and GBP 10.00 for non members. An early start can be arranged for runners in the V70 category and above.
Mandatory kit follows FRA rules and includes full waterproof body cover, hat, gloves, a map of the route, compass, whistle and emergency food. Kit checks will be carried out at registration and during the event. No refunds will be given for non attendance and transfers must be completed before the entry closing date.
