Pro-Life 5K at Central Park of Morris Plains
A faith-filled, family-friendly fundraising event held on October 25, 2026 at Central Park of Morris Plains, New Jersey. The event features a 5K cross-country course offered as a professionally timed run that includes runners, joggers and walkers. Opening prayers and remarks will be led by a diocesan bishop.
The event is organized by St. Cecilia's LIFE Runners, a chapter and affiliate of the nationwide LIFE Runners organization, which reports participation across many nations through relays and running events. Funds raised support the Saint John Paul II Respect Life Ministry based at St. Cecilia’s Parish in Rockaway, New Jersey. That ministry provides material, practical, financial and spiritual support to single mothers coping with crisis pregnancies and to non-profit shelters assisting single mothers, including shelter care, food, clothing, cash and other assistance for mothers and young babies.
This 5K has been organized annually since 2013, with exceptions during the COVID-19 pandemic and 2024. The event previously operated as a non-timed course through Morristown streets and is presented this year as a professionally timed cross-country event. Registration opens on September 28, 2026 and closes on October 24, 2026. Registration pricing lists before-race-day fees of $35 for adults and $32 for ages 0 to 18, with race day fees shown as $40 for adults and $35 for ages 0 to 18.
