Spring Wirral Ultra Clockwise

The Spring Wirral Ultra is a circular long distance event held on Saturday 1st May 2027. The course covers 36 miles and largely follows the well signposted Wirral Circular route in a clockwise direction, starting and ending at Hooton Memorial Hall, CH66 7NL.

The route is mixed terrain with many hard surfaces and around 812 ft of total ascent. It is fully tracked and partially self navigational, with some additional waymarking. There are five marshaled checkpoints offering water plus soft drinks, baked goods, fruit, sweets, pretzels and peanuts.

Entry includes a GPS tracker, a finishers medal, drinks and snacks. There is an option to add a finishers T shirt for an extra fee. Prizes are awarded to first female, first male and first non binary finishers and in age categories V50, V60 and V70. The event allows walkers provided they can complete the course within the 12 hour cut off.

Practical details include a minimum entry age of 20, a race permit ARC/24/0668, on site first aid and a policy that entries can be transferred or deferred up to four weeks before the event. No refunds are offered. Organisers state a commitment to avoid single use plastics and to support tree planting through Trees Not Tees. GPX and route maps are available prior to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
