The event base is John Ruskin School in Coniston where car parking spaces can be booked as part of the entry options. The school provides toilet facilities, camping and showers for those taking part in the 50 mile option. Participants may leave a change of clothing for the halfway point, but the organisers cannot accept responsibility for valuables left.

Refreshments are not provided before the start due to limited kitchen access. Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available at Ambleside, cold drinks and snacks at Elterwater, and a finish or mid route meal will be served at Coniston Institute. Those on the long route will also be offered refreshments at Seathwaite Parish Hall, Broughton Victory Hall and Nibthwaite Parish Hall Water Yeat, with a hot meal at the finish. Gluten free and vegan or vegetarian options are available at all checkpoints.

Dogs are not permitted because it is peak lambing time. Entrants on the 50 mile route are asked to ensure they have a place to sleep before driving home. Supporters are welcome at most checkpoints but not at Seathwaite Parish Hall or Water Yeat. Certificates will be issued by email in the week after the event. Entries open 15 October 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
