South Wales - Alice in Runderland
Phoenix Running South Wales stages a timed, lap-based event on Saturday 12 September 2026 at Rock UK Summit Centre, The Old Drift Mine, Trelewis, in Parc Taf Bargoed. The course is a 5.3 km out-and-back lap through Parc Taf Bargoed, a Green Flag park with varied scenery shaped by the area's industrial past and recent redevelopment.
Runners and walkers choose how many laps to complete within a 7 hour time limit. The event lists the following distance options:

- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
The minimum distance is 3.28 miles. The course is multi-terrain: the majority is on tarmac paths with approximately 0.5 miles on riverside trail. Each lap has about 37 m elevation gain and loss, producing a relatively flat overall profile.
Entries are limited. Medal entries are sold out; a trial no medal entry option is available from £20. Standard entry fees listed are £33 for affiliated entrants and £35 for unaffiliated entrants. The organiser operates flexible rock up and run start times and will try to accommodate special start time requests where possible. A Welsh Athletics race licence has been applied for and UK Athletics age distance restrictions apply for participants aged 20 or under.
