The Hateful 8 Ultra (the winter Edition)

The Hateful 8 Ultra is a timed-format event on Saturday 3 October 2026 at the Bridgend and District Model Engineering Society, Fountain Road, Aberkenfig, Tondu, Bridgend CF32 9BZ. Organised by Mad Running Junkies, the event uses a single loop of 9 Mile that participants attempt to run as many times as they can within an 8 hour time limit.

The course is mixed terrain and includes notable climbs, a road section with extended views, and a downhill forestry trail that can be technical on some days. The route description notes occasional additional features that alter the course experience and a significant elevation profile on parts of the loop.

Participants must be aged between 18 and 75 relative to the event date. Entry options published for this edition were entry only (£50.00) or entry with a T-shirt (£77.00). Entries opened 5 October 2025 and new entries closed 26 July 2026.

Event provisions listed for participants include car parking, toilet facilities, a bespoke medal or trophy, a swag bag, hot and cold drinks and snacks, medical cover, and on-course volunteers. There is an option to purchase event insurance (XCover) for potential refunds in unforeseen circumstances. Volunteers at the organiser’s events are eligible to run one event free under the organiser’s volunteer policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
