Event Overview

The Hateful 8 Ultra (the winter Edition) is a loopy ultra-marathon held in Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan. The event takes place at the Bridgend and District Model Engineering Society in Tondu. Participants navigate a 9 mile course repeatedly within an 8 hour time limit, with the objective of completing as many laps as possible.

Course Details

The route features mixed terrain, incorporating road sections, forestry trails, and significant elevation changes. The course includes a steep uphill segment and a downhill section on forestry trails that can be technical depending on the conditions. Participants can expect scenic views along the road portions of the loop.

Facilities and Support

The event base provides several amenities for runners and spectators. On-site car parking and toilet facilities are available. A medical team is present throughout the duration of the event to ensure participant safety. The organizers provide a range of support services, including:

Participation and Registration

The event is open to individuals between the ages of 18 and 75. Registration includes a bespoke medal or trophy and a swag bag for all finishers.
