About the race
The Soulstice Mountain Trail Run is scheduled for October 9, 2027 at Government Prairie in Kaibab National Forest, Parks, Arizona, with a contingency date of October 10 if weather is severe. The event is organized by volunteers from the Northern Arizona Trail Runners Association (NATRA) and benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff; 100 percent of race proceeds support that youth mentoring program.
The event offers multiple trail distances:
- 30K
- 18K
- 10K
- 1K Kids Dash
Early bird registration opens on December 31, 2026 (New Year's Eve) and is priced at $70 through January 7. Fees change after that date: $80 for the 10K, 18K, and 30K through April 15, then $85 thereafter. The event has a Forest Service permit limit of 200 runners; once capacity is reached a waiting list will be used on a first come first served basis. Legacy runners registered before April 15 are guaranteed entry, and a legacy list of registrants exists. Entrants can also guarantee their entry before April 15 by donating an Arizona Charitable Tax Credit to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Luke5Adventures of Flagstaff will participate with volunteers and participants who support hiking access for people with mobility challenges. For safety reasons dogs are not allowed on the race course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
