Blackout Night Runs - Fort Tuthill County Park, Flagstaff
Blackout Night Runs is a night trail race held at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, AZ. The event takes place on trails through ponderosa pines above 7,000 feet and includes sections on a mesa with open night-sky views. The routes vary from narrow single track to wider forest paths.

The 27K is run as two full circuits and covers 16.8 miles with about 1,293 feet of elevation gain. The 13K is about 8.56 miles with 648 feet of gain. The 6K is about 4.12 miles with 287 feet of gain. Maximum course elevation reaches 7,137 feet.
Aid stations are placed roughly every 4.0 to 4.4 miles on the longer courses and provide water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit; runners are advised to carry at least one bottle. Crews are allowed only at the start/finish area. No pacers are permitted. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish and will be available on each loop. There is an overall cutoff at midnight.
Courses are marked with orange plastic ribbons with black polka dots and laminated signs at junctions; blue and white checkerboard flagging marks wrong-way trails. Medical staff are based at the start/finish. Parking is available at the start/finish lot and a group tent campground is located near the race site with limited paid permits.
