SOS - Lane Cove North
SOS - Lane Cove North is a Saturday Orienteering Series event held at Kingsford Smith Park, 21 Ulm St, Lane Cove North NSW 2066. The event uses parks and nearby urban bushland as its setting and is presented as part of the weekly Saturday Orienteering Series.
Courses offered include Warm Up (recommended for beginners), Short Line, Long Line, and Score. Entrants may run multiple courses on the day. SPORTident electronic timing is used for all courses; timing card hire is available for A$4 per entrant. Normal entry fees are listed as A$18 for adults and A$15 for school students, with a A$2 late fee applying to entries made after midday on the Thursday before the event. The meeting point is Kingsford Smith Park, and the event notes there are no toilets at this venue. A Buddy Ticket is available for people who wish to accompany a young or inexperienced orienteer without receiving a personal timing chip or map; the Buddy Ticket does not include a personal timing chip or map.
