SOS - Northern Beaches Christian School

The Saturday Orienteering Series session at Northern Beaches Christian School is a school‑campus orienteering event held on the school grounds in Terrey Hills. Sessions feature a sequence of short, fast courses that run around buildings, courtyards, stairs and open areas, with weekly changes to map layouts and route choices. Events include solo courses plus a social relay each week for teams of two to four runners; the relay is included with a single entry. Courses available include Warm Up, Short Line, Long Line and Score, and entrants may run multiple courses on the day.

SPORTident electronic timing is used for all courses; participants who do not own a timing card can hire one when entering. Entry pricing is shown for Adults and School Students, with a member discount available via a promo code and a small surcharge for late entries; timing card hire is a separate fee. A free Buddy Ticket is offered for adults who wish to accompany a young or inexperienced orienteer without an individual timing chip or map.

Coaches are present to assist skill development and results are published to show progress across the term. The meeting point is Northern Beaches Christian School, 1 Echunga Rd, Terrey Hills NSW 2084. Events are described as social and active, with an emphasis on quick decision making and varied navigation challenges each week. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
