Sombrero Running organizes S.O.S., a trail event held on September 18, 2027 in Jennings State Forest on the Sandridge Trail near 2A Live Oak Lane in Middleburg, Florida. The course uses an approximately 2.75 mile loop and offers multiple race formats and ruck options.

There is a main aid station at the start/finish area with standard ultra fare, Skratch electrolytes, and pickle juice, plus a hydration only station near the 1 to 1.25 mile mark. The race is cupless, so participants must bring a handheld bottle, hydration vest with bladder, or a collapsible cup. Vehicles may access the start/finish area and there is space for canopies and tents.
A portion of proceeds supports local recovery related entities, including the Sombrero Outreach Foundation and a Jacksonville men's sober living facility called Foundations of Freedom. Awards include custom medals and Slow A$$ awards, and event giveaways feature sponsors such as LMNT and Trail Toes.
