Solstice Saunter 2027
The Solstice Saunter is a five mile run on the trails of the Bolton Abbey Estate that raises funds for Sue Ryder. The event offers both in-person participation on the estate and a virtual entry option where participants run a five mile route of their own choice on the same day. Virtual entrants are posted a bespoke medal in advance. Every participant is chip timed and entrants who select the applicable ticket receive a bespoke Solstice Saunter medal.
The course is multi terrain and hilly, completed as a single lap, and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race headquarters is a field across the river from the Cavendish Pavilions. Facilities at the event include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Parking is included in the entry price and in-person entrants are sent a car parking pass; they may arrive from 2pm to access the estate before the run.
Entry is limited to 1000 places, with 991 places available at the time of listing. Entry on the day is not available. Entry fees listed include race fees and administration: Adult with medal £27, Under 18 with medal £19, Virtual entry with medal posted £27.
