Snowshoe Valley Cinch & Sprint
This event takes place on a private farm in Slatyfork, WV, on wide grass covered paths that run around a meadow perimeter. The main element is a 5 KM run/walk completed as about three laps around the farm.
The course combines running with two physical tasks. On the first lap participants must tie a trucker hitch knot, cinch it, and release it; a hitching post will be provided for this task. The total of 25 jumping jacks is split across laps: 15 jumping jacks on the second lap and 10 jumping jacks on the third lap.
The format is run or walk and it is held rain or shine. There is no entry fee and no prizes for finishers. The event description notes that participants will use the farm perimeter for approximately three laps and that the knot task and jumping jacks are integrated into the laps as described.
