Snow Mountain Ranch Trail Running Festival
Snow Mountain Ranch is a trail running festival at the YMCA of the Rockies in Granby, CO, held on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The event offers multiple looped and out-and-back courses on dirt and grass trails that climb into high altitude terrain.
Distances offered:
- 50K (approximately 31.4 miles)
- 33K (about 20.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (12.8 miles)
- 10K (6.1 miles)
- 5K (3.3 miles)
Course details vary by distance. The 50K runs on 100% dirt with three loops and about 4,236 feet of total elevation gain and reaches roughly 9,844 feet elevation. The 33K follows dirt and grass trails with roughly 2,400 feet of gain. The half-marathon, 10K, and 5K use mostly dirt trails with elevation gains of about 1,707 feet, 653 feet, and 405 feet respectively. Aid stations and a designated drop bag area are provided; aid station counts vary by race. Pacers are allowed for the 50K on the final loop only; pacers are not permitted for the other distances. Crews may support runners at the finish line. Parking is available onsite near the Nordic Center and Event Center.
The festival includes two multi-race options called the Moosehead Challenge and the Baby Moose Challenge. Course distances may vary slightly year to year due to permitting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
