Snow Bull Trail Runs
Snow Bull Trail Runs takes place on January 16, 2027 at Camp Chet in Whitwell, TN and is organized by Mad Cow Trek Club and Camp Chet. The camp covers nearly 1,000 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, part of the Cumberland Plateau in southeast Tennessee.
The course is a 6.5 mile loop made up of mixed single and double track, grass fields, and logging roads. Each loop features about 1,500 feet of elevation gain and includes largely runnable sections as well as some moderately technical stretches. The venue includes dense forest, bluffs and rock formations, wet weather creeks and waterfalls, expansive views, and miles of hiking trails that follow forest paths, old wagon roads, and former coal mining roads.
Event distances and formats include:
- Half marathon
- 6 Hour
- 12 Hour
Finisher awards are provided for all participants. Additional awards are given for first male and first female in the half marathon, 6 hour, and 12 hour events. There is no early packet pickup; packets will be issued on race morning at check in when participants receive bibs, ankle monitors, and sign the waiver.
