Snow Bull Trail Runs
Snow Bull Trail Runs are held at Camp Chet in Whitwell, Tennessee on private forested land covering nearly 1,000 acres on Whitwell Mountain, part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee. The property includes dense forest, bluffs and rock formations, open spaces, wet weather creeks and waterfalls, expansive views, and miles of trails.
The event uses a 6.5 mile loop composed of mixed single and double track, grass fields, and logging roads. Each loop has about 1,500 feet of elevation gain. The loop is largely runnable with some moderately technical sections. The terrain also includes old wagon roads and former coal mining roads.
Available event formats are:
- Half-marathon
- 6 hour endurance run
- 12 hour endurance run
Finisher awards are provided to all participants. Additional awards are given to the first male and first female in the Half-marathon, 6 hour, and 12 hour events.
Packet pick up occurs on race morning; participants will check in to receive bibs, ankle monitors, and sign a waiver. For navigation, use the 5050 Pocket Road address rather than searching Camp Chet by name. Registration closes January 13 and registering by January 6 guarantees a shirt.
