Silent Pool 10km - Guided trail run

This is a guided trail run of 10 km that starts and finishes at Silent Pool Car Park, Albury, Guildford. The route uses sections of the North Downs Way, passes through the forest of Netley Heath and drops down to the village of Shere, including film locations from The Holiday and Bridget Jones Diary. The course includes wide trails for group running and narrower single track sections.

Runs are organised as either sunset sessions during the lighter months or night sessions in the darker months. Night runs are conducted with headtorches in a supported group environment. The event is led by an experienced guide and is presented as a communal, non competitive outing; participants should be comfortable maintaining an average pace of around 10 minutes per mile (6:15 min/km) on trails for prolonged periods. Steeper climbs are often walked and the group regularly regroups.

Practical details provided by the organiser include a full kit list, opportunities to trial Silva running torches, a car park at the meeting point, and a participation cost of £22 per person. An alcohol free beer may be available at the end of the run subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
