Seward Sizzler Trail Run
Seward Sizzler takes place at Seward Park in Seattle on Tuesday, July 6, 2027. The event follows a looped trail route that runs almost entirely through old growth forest on a peninsula in Lake Washington.

The loop begins on a wide, smooth main trail that is generally flat to rolling before dipping downhill toward the tip of the peninsula. Near the waterfront the course turns onto smaller trails that climb and traverse the western side of the peninsula. A short twisty section includes several small fallen trees, roots, and other surface irregularities before the trail widens again toward the end of the loop. The forest contains Western Red Cedar, Douglas Fir, and other native plants; runners may hear a Pileated Woodpecker.
An aid station adjacent to the start/finish provides water, electrolyte sport drinks, and a selection of carbohydrate-rich or salty foods. Runners on the shorter distance pass the aid station once; 10k runners pass it twice.
The start/finish area is located close to the parking lot at the top of the hill. Entering the park involves going partway around the large roundabout and continuing up Seward Park Road to the parking lot at the top of the hill. Weekday evening traffic and park use can be heavy, especially on sunny days, so extra travel and parking time is common.
After the run there are hot dogs, veggie dogs, watermelon, other snacks, awards for top three Female and Open finishers in each distance, and a raffle. During the event the trails remain open to other park users including pedestrians with pets and cyclists; participants are responsible for their own safety and should follow passing etiquette and keep headphone volume low.
