Silverdale Rotary Turkey Trot 2026
The event is held at Klahowya Secondary School and uses trails in Newberry Hill Heritage Park near Silverdale, WA. Races take place on a wide fire road of compact dirt and rock; the 10K follows the loop twice and includes a short detour onto a narrower side trail. The course is marked and staffed.
Distances:
- 10K: two laps of the Old Loop Road including a short side trail detour
- 5K: one lap of the Old Loop Road fire road
- 1 Mile: out and back with a half mile turnaround
- Pumpkin/Kids Dash: 100 yards finishing at the main finish line
Total elevation change is about 200 feet per lap. Strollers are permitted; a short narrow section of around 100 feet on the 10K detour may require attention. Well behaved leashed dogs are permitted. Since 2022 the event has been chip timed.
Packet pickup and in-person registration are available at two pre-race events at the inside entrance to Dick's Sporting Goods in Kitsap Mall and on Thanksgiving morning at the event. There is no day of race registration. Organizers offer a family registration cap of $100 and request participant names and basic details for group entries.
All proceeds benefit nonprofit efforts addressing hunger in the local community. Portable toilets and parking on the school property are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
