Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra 2027
The Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra takes place at Hollinwood Scout Camp in Worsley, Manchester on 31 July 2027. The event runs on a backyard ultra format: runners complete two off-road loops through fields and shaded woodland, starting a new loop every hour on the hour. Completing a loop in time allows a runner to start the next loop, and the race continues until a single runner remains.
The field is capped at 120 athletes. Prize money will be awarded to the overall winner, and a unique 1/1 t-shirt is reserved for anyone who exceeds 100 mile. The course is described as flat and fully off road, with fast, runnable terrain that moves from open field ground into shaded woodland trails.
Race entry includes an entry ticket, a bespoke DNF metal mug, provision for a pitch to set up a rest area, drinks and snacks, and hot and cold water. The winner will receive a trophy, a mug, and prize money.
Parking at Hollinwood Scout Camp is limited and not guaranteed as part of race entry; additional parking arrangements are being developed and full parking information will be communicated to runners in advance.
