Scottish 6 Days Perthshire 2027
The Scottish 6 Days returns to Highland Perthshire for its 50th anniversary, held from Sunday 1 August to Friday 6 August 2027. The event features five days of forest competition on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with a planned rest day offering orienteering-based activities.
Races will visit a mix of classic Scottish areas and nearby forests, including Craig a’ Barns, Deuchary Hill, Loch Ordie near Dunkeld, Grandtully and Tullochroisk near Pitlochry. An urban race in the suburbs of Perth is planned and the organisers will apply to the IOF to hold at least one World Ranking Event. The event centre will be based in Aberfeldy.
Perthshire terrain includes fast runnable plantations, native woodland, open moorland and areas of rocky ground. This variety combines more open, high-speed sections with technical Highland terrain where precise navigation is important.
The location offers a wide range of accommodation close to event areas, from campsites and hostels to holiday cottages, B and Bs and hotels. Towns such as Dunkeld, Aberfeldy and Pitlochry provide local bases while the city of Perth lies to the south for additional options. The organisers also note local visitor attractions and outdoor activities for participants and companions.
Entries open on 1 December 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
