The Scarecrow Classic 5K : Run or walk for Lincoln Land Conservation Trust
The Scarecrow Classic is a 5K road, field, and trail event returning for its 14th year on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The course winds through the scenic roads, fields, and trails of a historic New England town near Greater Boston. Organizers expect more than 650 participants and direct race proceeds to the Lincoln Land Conservation Trust.
Proceeds support the Lincoln Land Conservation Trust, which manages more than 2,500 acres of land and nearly 80 miles of public trails as a regional recreational resource. The trust operates as a nonprofit land conservation organization and is nationally recognized for its conservation work.
Race operations emphasize environmental practices. Participants are asked to bring their own water bottles because water will not be provided along the course or at the finish area. There will be space for water bottle storage near the finish area and alternative options for carrying or storing water are noted. The event also offers past race shirts for purchase at the LLCT table, with sales supporting the trust.
All participants are expected to follow local and state public health recommendations for the event. Race packets are available for pickup in Lincoln, MA the day before the race and onsite on race day. Cider donuts will be available at the finish area for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
