Sanders' Saunter Charity Race
Sanders' Saunter Charity Race is scheduled for November 7, 2026 at Clinton State Park near Lawrence, KS. The event is presented by the Lawrence Trail Hawks and offers multiple trail distances with on-course aid stations and drop bag support.

The course starts and finishes at Shelter 1, Corps of Engineers. All runners follow the white trail and a portion of the yellow trail that ascends and descends the ridge of Sanders Mound. Ten kilometer runners access the Lake Henry aid station and return on the blue trail. Twenty-five kilometer runners complete one trip to the mound early in the course. Fifty kilometer runners complete two loops of the 25K course; a cutoff applies to beginning the second loop. Twenty-five and 50K runners are required to carry a handheld or hydration pack. Drop bags are available at Lands End and the Start/Finish aid station. Aid stations include Lake Henry, Lands Ends, and Start/Finish, with Lake Henry noted as slightly off course for some distances.
Packet pickup is available on race morning and the evening before at Lawrence Beer Company WEST. The event is dog friendly; dogs must be leashed and owners must clean up after them. Top three male and female finishers and the first place non-binary finisher in each distance will receive awards.
The Race Director allows distance changes before the event with conditions and pro rata fees for upgrades. Entries may not be transferred to other participants. Refunds, deferrals, and transfers are not permitted. If trails are unsafe, organizers may provide an alternative course; refunds will not be made for cancellations beyond organizer control.
