Saint Marys Lake Trail Series
The event takes place at Saint Marys Lake near Leonardtown, MD. The lake and connected Salem Forest offer a network of trails including a 7.5 mile main route around the lake and about 8 miles of additional trails. The race uses an approximate 10.5 mile loop around the lake and into Salem Forest; participants run one, two, or three laps of that loop.

The route surface is roughly 75% single track with dirt, roots, rock, and wooden bridges, 20% forest road, and 5% crushed gravel along the dam. Trail markings are present and a GPX route file is available. Some mud and wet sections may occur depending on conditions. Each lap includes several small hills totaling around 500 feet of elevation gain and descent.
Aid will be available at two locations. The main aid station is at the park entrance on Camp Cosoma Road and offers warm food, drink, toilets, parking, and a small covered area. A second aid station near the Salem Forest parking lot on Indian Bridge Road will offer food, drink, a porta potty, and may be intermittently staffed; drop bags can be placed there but should be retrieved after the event.
The park remains open to the public during the event and trail users such as mountain bikers, walkers, leashed pets, and horseback riders may be present. The event is limited to 100 participants and a day use fee is collected at the park automated gate, with a lower rate for Maryland residents.
