Run the Vineyards - Rocklands Farm 5K
The event is a scenic 5K run through vineyard and farm at Rocklands Farm Winery in Poolesville, Maryland. The course is a well groomed cross country style route combining hard packed dirt, gravel, and grass trails. Chip timing is used and instant results are available. Walkers and children are welcome; walkers must be registered and start behind runners for participant safety. A one hour time limit is requested.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and to age group winners (Ages 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; then every 10 years). The event provides hydration stations, clear course markings, and volunteers.
An after party takes place on the property with wines available for tasting and purchase, a complimentary drink ticket for attendees over 21, live music, a food truck, and indoor and outdoor seating. Swag includes a custom tech shirt in women, men/unisex, and youth sizes with an optional long sleeve upgrade for an additional fee, a souvenir wine glass, and optional finisher medals offered for purchase. Free race photos and parking are provided. Packet pick-up is available on race morning at the Good Day for a Run tent. Spectators are welcome.
