About the race
Run the Vineyards Rocklands Farm 5K takes place on 10/25/2026 at Rocklands Farm Winery in Poolesville, Maryland. The event is set on the winery and farm property in Montgomery County.
The course is a well groomed cross country style route with a mix of hard packed dirt, gravel, and grass trails and offers scenic views through the vineyard and farm. The race is chip timed with instant results and a one hour time limit on course.
Walkers and children are welcome. All participants must register to be on the course and walkers are required to start behind runners for safety. Children receive a discounted registration price during registration and minors do not receive the wine ticket.
Awards are given for top overall and age group finishers with placements described for male and female categories and age brackets beginning under 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29 and then every 10 years. Postrace amenities at the historic property include wine available for tasting and purchase, a complimentary drink ticket for those over 21, live music, a food truck, and indoor and outdoor seating.
Race swag and services include a custom tech shirt in youth and adult sizes with an option to upgrade to long sleeves for a fee, a souvenir wine glass, optional finisher medals available for purchase, free race photos and parking, and volunteer incentives. Packet pick up is available on race morning at the Good Day for a Run tent.
