Run Tasmania Stage Race
Run Tasmania Stage Race is a four-day trail running stage race around Hobart and south-east Tasmania, including the Tasman Peninsula. The event runs from 25th to 28th November 2026 and is organised as consecutive daily stages that move between town and wilderness settings.
Each day features a distinct landscape:
- Coastal trails near Kingston with ocean views and native bushland.
- Alpine terrain on kunanyi / Mount Wellington with rocky ridgelines and wide views.
- Rainforest near Fortescue Bay on the Tasman Peninsula with large ferns and dense moss.
- Clifftop terrain at Cape Raoul with sea cliffs dropping about 300 metres to the Southern Ocean.
There are two course options. The “Devil” long course covers 15–25 km per day for a total of 88.5 km. The “Quoll” short course covers 10–23 km per day for a total of 67.5 km.
Event logistics note coordinated services and accommodation: event hotels, bus transfers, meals, and support services are pre-organised for participants. Entries are limited to 300 runners. The race is presented as the inaugural Run Tasmania Stage Race and positions itself as a multi-day trail event combining urban access to Hobart with remote coastal and alpine terrain.
