Run Nidderdale
Run Nidderdale is a 10K trail race held at Pateley Bridge Showground on 22nd May 2027. The course is well marked and marshalled and covers varied terrain including ancient woodland, open moorland and technical descents with an overall elevation gain of about 320 m.
The route rises to a trig point with views over the Nidderdale valley, follows sections of the Nidderdale Way, passes the Two Stoops monument and finishes after a marked descent. Part of the course crosses private land and that land must not be accessed before or after the event.
Prizes are awarded for winners in the open and veteran categories V40, V50 and V60, and there are prizes for the first male and female teams based on the top three runners from an affiliated club. There is a £50 cash prize for a new male or female course record and spot prizes are offered on the day.
The event is held under UK Athletics rules and will be licensed by the Trail Running Association, licence pending. The minimum age for the trail race is 16. Dogs are not permitted to run but are welcome in the showground on leads. A proportion of event proceeds are donated to the club’s nominated charities with the remainder going to club funds.
