2027 Run for Water Trail Race
The Run for Water Trail Race takes place on June 5, 2027 at Sumas Mountain, with the venue listed as 37797 Taggart Rd, Abbotsford, BC, Canada. The course uses rugged, technical single-track trails that include roots, rocks and mud, and offers views of the Fraser River and the Fraser Valley.
Distances and reported elevation gains:
- 10K - 500 metres elevation gain
- 25K - nearly 1,500 metres elevation gain
- 50K - nearly 3,000 metres elevation gain; follows the 25K route twice, with the first lap run in the opposite direction
The 25K and 50K routes reach the two highest peaks in Sumas Mountain Regional Park and include flowing trail sections within the local rain forest. Full payment is due at registration and entry fees are non-refundable. Donations or fundraising above the race entry fee are tax deductible.
Participants can switch to a shorter distance after registration at no cost, subject to availability, provided the organizer is notified one week before race day. Deferral to the following year and transfer of bibs to another racer are not offered.
Package pickup is available early on Friday, June 4 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Valhalla Pure Outfitters in Abbotsford; race day pickup is at the start/finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
