RRRC Bear Creek 10 Mile Trail Runs
RRRC presents in-person trail races at Bear Creek Lake State Park in Cumberland, Virginia, with an in-person field cap of 275 entrants (200 for the 10 Mile Run and 75 for the Mini Run). The primary loop course runs through the piedmont hills of Cumberland State Forest and Bear Creek Lake State Park.
Distances offered:
- 10.4 Miles 10 Mile Trail Run, in-person, capped at 200 entrants
- 4.2 Miles Mini Trail Run, in-person, capped at 75 entrants
- 10 Miles Virtual 10 Mile Run option
The Mini route uses a mix of park trails, Willis River Trail single track, and the Cumberland Multi-use Trail. Age limits apply: participants must be at least 14 years old for the 10 Mile Trail Run and at least 12 years old for the Mini Trail Run. A virtual race option is available for the 10 mile distance.
Entry fees vary by event and include a $5 discount for RRRC members where indicated. Richmond Road Runners Club will donate one dollar from each runner’s registration fee to the Friends of Bear Creek Lake State Park.
