About the race
The Romero Run is scheduled for Sunday 13 June 2027 at Oscar Romero School in Goring-by-Sea, Worthing, BN12 5AF. Raw Energy Pursuits organise a charity road and trail event along the coast and in adjacent school grounds.
Distances offered:
- 10 km course on roads and coastal trails
- 5 km course on roads and coastal trails
- 2.5 km children’s run for ages 6–11
Organisers describe the 10 km course as flat. The routes include pavements, coastal trails and a tree-lined avenue called The Plantation, and incorporate three temporary crossing points. Medals and free photos are provided for all 5 km and 10 km finishers. Race numbers are collected on the day.
Entry fees published by the organiser are: 5 km £17, 5 km junior run (ages 12–15) £8, 10 km £22, children’s 2.5 km run £6 (ages 6–11). Race headquarters and parking are at Oscar Romero School. Course maps and lap details are available for the 10 km, 5 km and the playing-field lap.
Proceeds from the event go to Friends of Romero, Registered Charity 1053384. The children’s 2.5 km run forms part of a three-race series alongside events at Angmering and Ferring in 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
