Turkey Shuffle - Fort Worth
The Turkey Shuffle takes place on November 29, 2026 at Riverside Trailhead, 3201 Riverfront Dr, Fort Worth, TX. The event is held on park and greenbelt trails with mixed surfaces that may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt. Aid stations will be available on course and snacks and refreshments will be offered at the finish area.
Distances offered include:
- Kids Dash: about 50 meters, for children 10 and under.
- 1 Mile: not chip timed, includes shirt and medal.
- 5K (3.11 miles): chip timed, includes trophies and standard age group awards.
- 10K (6.22 miles): chip timed, includes overall Bigfoot trophies and age group awards.
- Virtual Run: 6.22 miles, virtual participation option.
- Volunteer then Run 5K: volunteer before the race, limited to the first 20 participants.
All finishers receive a medal and shirt. A costume contest awards a "Biggest Turkey" trophy and a prize pack that includes a certificate for two future race entries, an HEB gift card, and a Bigfoot Running Company swag pack. Standard age group awards are provided for 5K and 10K races, including overall and masters recognition and pins for age categories.
Volunteer roles range from water station and course monitor to finish line helper and mascot. Shirt availability is guaranteed for registrations completed at least ten days before the event. Races proceed rain, shine, hot or cold and the organizer has a no-refund policy while offering options to transfer registration to a virtual entry, another event, or another participant.
