Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Dallas
This event takes place on October 10, 2026 at Fair Oaks Park in Dallas, Texas. It offers multiple race options on park trails and mixed surfaces, including pavement, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Aid stations are placed along the course to provide water and on-course assistance. Packet pickup is offered beginning 1.5 hours before the event start, and there is a shirt guarantee cutoff ten days before the event.
Race services and timing vary by distance. The 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon are chip timed and include age group awards and overall trophies. The Kids Dash and 1 Mile events are not chip timed and include a tee shirt and medal. A virtual option is available for the half marathon distance. A pre-race costume contest is held at the starting area with judging and prizes before the race begins. Post-race activities are centered at a rally tent and include live awards announcements, music, and food and drink options. Volunteer roles are available; course monitors and aid station volunteers receive race shirts and souvenir medals subject to availability, and volunteers check in 1.5 hours before the start.
