Rockledge Rumble
Rockledge Rumble is a trail running event held at Rockledge Park in Grapevine, TX, in the Dallas/Fort Worth area north of DFW airport. The event offers the following distances:
- 50K
- 30K
- 15K
The course follows the North Shore Trail along Lake Grapevine. Trail surfaces vary from soft dirt near the start to more technical and rocky sections farther from the start and finish. The final approach runs along the bank of the lake and concludes with a steep wooden staircase.
The event is organized by Blaze Trails Running. Volunteers earn race credits that can be applied to future Blaze Trails events, and family members who volunteer may transfer credits. Credits must be used within one year unless an extension is approved for medical reasons or military deployment.
Park entry requires payment of the park entrance fee; the organizer recommends having ten dollars in exact change to expedite entry. The refund and credit policy states that cancellations made more than 30 days before race day receive 100 percent race credit, cancellations between 30 days and two weeks before race day receive 50 percent race credit, and no refunds or transfers are allowed within two weeks of race day.
