Robin Hood 100
The Robin Hood 100 is a 100 mile ultra trail event based in South Wheatley, Nottinghamshire, running through Sherwood Forest and surrounding areas. The route follows the Chesterfield Canal towpath to Manton, then joins a roughly 30 mile forest loop through the heart of Sherwood Forest that is completed twice, typically the first loop in daylight and the second in darkness.
The course passes Clumber Park, farmland, lodges, Creswell Crags, and skirts the Welbeck Estate, and it runs past The Major Oak. The terrain is described as relatively flat with no major climbs and consists of runnable trails and towpaths.
Race services include a fully marked route, well stocked aid stations, and drop bag access at approximately miles 22, 51, and 81. Pacers are allowed from Aid Station 4 at about mile 51 to the finish, one pacer at a time, and pacers must not carry the runner’s equipment. Crews are welcome; aid stations are sufficient for unsupported runners. Finishers receive a medal and top three male and female finishers receive trophies. Hot soup, tea and coffee are available at the finish and vegan food options are provided.
Event logistics note a 30 hour finish cutoff, no GPS trackers due to dense forest, and runner accounting by admin at aid stations. Entries close once full; refunds and transfer rules apply. Entrants must be at least 20 years old. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
