Rasselbock Backyard Ultra: Stapleford Hall

The Rasselbock Backyard Ultra at Stapleford Hall takes place on 3 July 2027 on an estate just east of Melton Mowbray. The setting includes varied scenery with wildflowers, animals, ponds and lakes. The route is still being confirmed, and organisers indicate an expected elevation change between 30 and 50 meters per yard. This is the lowest of the organiser's three Backyard venues.

The race uses the Backyard Ultra format: it is a last-person-standing event in which participants begin a new lap every hour and the competition ends when a single runner remains to start a lap. Support is provided by the event team and volunteers, and previous editions attracted many first‑time Backyard participants (81 percent of starters at earlier events had not previously done a Backyard Ultra).

Entry pricing and purchase details are set in tiers. Early bird pricing applies to the first 100 entries at £105, after which the standard fee is £119. Payment can be made in full or via PayPal using a three installment option. Organisers do not offer refunds after 14 days from sign-up. A name change on an entry is permitted. If an entry is sold through the event waitlist a £15 fee applies; joining the waitlist itself is free. The final date to transfer a booking is 14 June 2027.

Discounts are available for runners who completed a Backyard Ultra within the last two years and exceeded 40 hours, with larger discounts for longer past performances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
