Rainow 5 is a fell race in the Peak District, held at Rainow Institute on the B5470 between Macclesfield and Whaley Bridge, SK10 5XE. The event is listed in category BS and requires a minimum age of 16.
The course distance is 8 km / 5 miles with approximately 230 m / 755 ft of climb. Skills are listed as PM. Teams are not allowed and there are no junior races associated with this event.
Entry is by pre-entry only; entry on the day is not available. Pre-entry fees are £9.00 for members and £10.00 for non-members. SiEntries opens 1 March 2027 and remains open until the race reaches capacity.
The event holds a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA. Course best times are recorded as 00:31:08 for the male record (2009) and 00:33:49 for the female record (2011).
