Race to Remember
Race to Remember is a fundraising endurance event that finishes at the Royal Naval Museum in the Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth. It offers two distance options and is described as sold out with the waiting list full.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 76 km ultramarathon from Aldershot to Portsmouth
- 36 km run or walk from Petersfield to Portsmouth
The 76 km route passes south through the South Downs National Park, covering about 40 km before reaching Petersfield, where 36 km participants join. The 76 km course includes two break stops before Petersfield. Break stops provide food and drinks; the full event offers six stocked break stops for 76 km participants and three for 36 km participants.
The route is open to the public and to traffic and will be marked. The event is supported with satellite tracking, medical cover, event support vehicles, timed results, bag drop for runners, and an event pack including a race number. All finishers receive a medal. The organiser enforces cut off times and operates support vehicles to assist participants who need to move between break stops.
All participants must be 18 years or older. Charity place participants have a fundraising target of £395; self funded participants receive a technical T shirt as part of registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
