Stevenage Pretty Muddy 5k

Stevenage Pretty Muddy is a 5k obstacle run at Fairlands Valley Park, Broadhall Way, Stevenage SG2 8QJ. The start and finish are on grass and the route follows a mixture of paved pathways and grassy terrain. The course includes obstacles that involve climbing, crawling and sliding; marshals are available to assist if a participant needs to skip an obstacle. The route may become muddy or slippery in wet weather and there can be congestion around the lake area.

Waves are staggered every 15 minutes to manage course safety and groups are asked to book the same wave. Participants must be 13 years of age or older; there are separate Pretty Muddy Kids events for younger children.

Practical details include free event parking accessed via Broadhall Way (postcode SG2 9BN), drop off in the event car park, and Blue Badge parking approximately 50 metres from the event site on grass. Train station access is about a 30 minute walk and a recommended bus plus walk from Stevenage Town Bus Station takes around 14 minutes. Bike racks are available by the cafe on the lake side and the nearest electric vehicle charging point is about one mile away.

Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are not allowed. The event lists a minimum fundraising target of £50 and shows earlybird prices of £11.24 for adults and £6.00 for children. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, community support and a Race for Life medal on completion.
