Quarry Bank Trail 10K - 18 May 2027
The Quarry Bank Trail 10K is a one-lap trail race of approximately 10 km held within the National Trust grounds of Quarry Bank Mill and the surrounding village, including Styal woods and a section adjacent to the airport runway. The course starts and finishes at Quarry Bank and includes mixed surfaces: trail, grass, tarmac, gravel and steps, with generally undulating terrain. Recent path improvements allow an added one mile loop; the new section is described as flat.
The event is licensed by TRA and run under UKA Athletics rules. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers based on gun times, with veteran prizes for age groups V35 to V80+ in five year increments and a prize for the first U20; veteran prizes are sent by email and based on chip times.
Entry fees are listed as Club Runner £28 and Non-Club Runner £30. Minimum entry age is 16 years. Entries close when the event limit is reached or at midnight the night before the race; there is no official waiting list and no entries on the day when sold out. Transfers are permitted to another person or to a virtual race option to be completed up to one month after race day.
Facilities noted include free parking at Race HQ, bike storage, baggage storage, toilets and first aid. Results are available immediately on Nifty Entries and entrants who provide a mobile number may receive a text with their finish time. The event donates £2 from every entry to Quarry Bank Mill. The event postcode is SK9 4LA; the nearest stations on foot are Styal (0.5 miles) and Wilmslow (1.9 miles). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
