About the race
Quarry Bank Trail 10K takes place on 18 May 2027 around Quarry Bank Mill and the surrounding village and estate. The route is a one lap course of approximately 10 km within National Trust grounds, extended by a newly approved one mile flat loop.
The course starts and finishes at Quarry Bank and passes Styal woods and a section adjacent to the airport runway. Terrain and surfaces vary and include undulating trail, grass, tarmac, gravel and steps, with kilometre markers, drink stations, toilets and first aid provided on the day.
The event is licensed by TRA and run under UKA Athletics rules. Entry fees are listed as £28 for club runners and £30 for non club runners; all finishers receive a bespoke medal. Minimum age for entry is 16 years. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers by gun time, with veteran prizes in five year age bands from V35 to V80 plus and a prize for the first U20. Presentations for top three finishers take place immediately after the race and veteran prizes are posted after the event.

Results appear immediately on the event entries system and finish line texts are sent if a mobile number is provided. Two free transfer options are available: transfer the place to another person or switch to a virtual entry to run within a month of race day. Two pounds from every entry will go to Quarry Bank Mill.
