Punk Panther Dales Dazzler

Punk Panther Dales Dazzler is a trail race based in Skipton that uses high ground around the town and offers views across Wharfedale. The route travels west to meet the Pennine Way near Pinhaw Beacon, then passes Thornton in Craven, Gargrave, Malham Tarn, Arncliffe and Starbotton, joins the Dales Way and continues through Kettlewell, Grassington and Burnsall before returning to Skipton.

Distances and approximate climb for each course are:

  • 14.4 miles - 1718 ft climb
  • 20.7 miles - 2374 ft climb
  • 34.4 miles - 3716 ft climb
  • 51 miles - 6286 ft climb

Minimum age is 18 and the event limits entries to 200. The race is part of a series and carries ITRA points and UTMB qualification status: ITRA 1/1/2/3 and UTMB Q20K/Q20K/Q50K/Q100K respectively. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; half marathon and 20 mile entrants can hire a tracker for a fee. Checkpoints provide water, cola, energy bars and crisps, with vegan and gluten free snack options.

A kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks may occur on course. Drop bags are accepted for the 51 mile race and finishers receive a medal and event T-shirt unless they opt out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
