Plasie Trail Run
Plasie Trail Run is a trail running event at Merensky Landbou Akademie in Tzaneen, Limpopo. The route passes through avocado orchards, macadamia plantations, forest sections, dams, wetlands, wooden bridges and flowing farm trails on private farmland.
Distances and entry fees
- 9 km Trail Run, R150
- 4.5 km Trail Run, R100
The 9 km route includes water points at 3.7 km and 6 km, with water available at the finish. The 4.5 km route includes water points at 2.5 km and 3.8 km, with water available at the finish.
Entry includes a finisher medal, a goodie bag, a lucky draw entry and access to the Merensky Agricultural Academy 90-Year Celebration Festival. Official event T-shirts are available for R160 each; t-shirt orders close on 10 September 2026.
Race packs and goodie bags can be collected on Friday 18 September 2026 at the Merensky Sports Centre between 13:00 and 18:00. A limited collection opportunity will be available on race day at the venue for participants who cannot collect on Friday.
The run forms part of a full-day festival that features food stalls, a flea market, a warrior race, tug of war, family entertainment and live music. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
