Magoebas Ultra 2027
Magoebas Ultra is a multi-day trail running event in Magoebaskloof, Limpopo, based at Krabbefontein near Tzaneen and held from 20 to 22 March 2027. Routes traverse local grasslands, mountain trails and indigenous forest areas including sections around Haenertsburg and Woodbush.
Distances offered include:
- 100 km : 3 800 m D+; 26 hour cut off; start Haenertsburg finish Krabbefontein
- 60 km : 2 600 m D+; 13 hour cut off; start and finish Krabbefontein
- 45 km : 2 300 m D+; 11 hour cut off; start and finish Krabbefontein
- 28 km : 1 400 m D+; start and finish Krabbefontein
- 10 km : 400 m D+; run on Schultz trails at Krabbefontein, does not enter Woodbush Forest Reserve
All races state no qualification requirement. The 100 km, 60 km, 45 km and 28 km classes specify a minimum age of 18. Race registration takes place in person on Saturday 20 March. The 28 km class requires completion of a prologue for seeding; runners who do not complete the prologue are seeded in the last starting batch.
Entry changes and refunds are time limited. Cancellation refunds vary by date: 60% before 01 December 2026, 50% from 02 December 2026 to 01 January 2027, 40% from 02 January to 01 February 2027, 30% from 02 February to 27 February 2027, and 0% from 28 February 2027. No substitutions are allowed. Deferrals are not accepted except for pregnancy with a doctor’s certificate; approved deferrals are valid for one year.
