About the race
Pint & Pork Scratchings 5 is the sixth edition of a charity trail run raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity. The event is a 5 miles route of undulating Nottinghamshire trails that starts and finishes in Epperstone, with the location for 2027 listed as The Cross Keys pub. The course includes a noted "mini" hill within the first mile. Entries are limited to 375 runners.
The 2027 edition introduces chip timing, which affects online late entry handling, bib number collection, and results processing and distribution. The organisers do not award standard age-group prizes; instead some prizes are placed at specific finishing positions. Prize examples include first male and female awards (with a bag of piggie sweets), course record recognition (male 29:47, female 32:47), a crate of beer for the club with the most entrants, best combined team prize based on the fastest two female and two male times, a spot team prize with combined times, and other running-related prizes. The event has an entry fee structure shown on the organiser's listing and specific entry opening and closing dates.
The run aims to raise further funds for The Brain Tumour Charity while maintaining an in-person, timed trail race format on local paths. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
