PFW Running - The Wyre Wine and Cheese Run
PFW Running stages a four mile trail run along the Wyre estuary at Wyre Estuary Country Park in Thornton-Cleveleys on 10 September 2026. The course follows a mainly flat path with a few rises, starting and finishing beside the river and routing out to a turn point along the estuary trail.
At the turn point there is an aid station offering water and a small serving of red and white wine. All finishers receive a medal, a 187 ml bottle of either red or white wine (with the lid on for transport) and a selection of cheese and crackers after the finish.
Facilities listed for the event include free parking, toilets, medical cover and marshals. The event is restricted to participants aged 18 and over. It is held under UK Athletics rules and a trail running license.
Event capacity is limited to 150 entrants and entries close on 9 September 2026. Refunds are not permitted and deferrals are not available. Entry transfers to another runner are accepted up to one week before the event date, subject to organiser procedures.
Entry categories available include affiliated and unattached options with separate pricing for red and white wine choices for the four mile run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
