Perissos Vineyard Haunted Wine Run 5k
The event is a chip timed 5k run/walk held at Perissos Vineyard and Winery in Burnet, Texas. The course is a two‑lap, cross country style route on grass and dirt trails with some uneven footing; the route passes through vineyard areas and may require caution from participants. Walkers are welcome, and faster runners may lap slower participants on the course.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T‑shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, and a chip timed race bib. Results are posted online, and each registered adult receives a pour of wine at the finish. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but does not include a wine glass or wine pour.
The event offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each ten year category: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Age group awards are available only on the day of the event and are not available for shipment afterwards.
Packet pickup is available on race day only. The event’s charity partner is Nik’s Wish. Dogs are not allowed on site due to USDA restrictions. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers do not need to register. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
