Mosaic Trail Race
Mosaic Trail Race takes place December 5, 2026 at Canyon of the Eagles LCRA Park in Burnet, Texas, on the north shore of Lake Buchanan. The event offers multiple looped distances on trails inside the park.
Distances
- 50K three 10.3+ mile laps
- 26.2 mi four 6.55 mile laps
- 13.1 mi two 6.55 mile laps
- 10K one lap
- 5K one lap
- Youth 1 mile untimed course
All distances follow the same general route with clear shortcuts for each distance so no map reading is required at intersections. The terrain reflects Texas Hill Country and includes wider jeep roads, tighter singletrack, hard packed dirt, rocks, climbs and drops, creek beds, bluffs, ravines, cacti, and water features.
Course markings include orange caution tape at open intersections, yellow arrows on stakes and trees, and confidence markers between signs. Markings include reflectors where sections may occur in low light. Aid stations are placed so no runner needs to carry more than about 3.5 miles of water or fuel; the Eagle Eye Aid Station provides a full selection of food and drinks and sponsors products such as Tailwind and Saltstick.
The event is cupless. Participants must bring a cup or bottle; collapsible cups will be available for purchase at packet pickup. Leave No Trace rules apply and littering can lead to disqualification. Chip timing is used and chips are worn on the ankle. Pacers are not allowed. Top finishers receive awards for each distance and masters placements are awarded.
