Mosaic Trail Race
The Mosaic Trail Race is a trail running weekend held at Canyon of the Eagles LCRA Park in Burnet, Texas, on December 5, 2026. The event offers multiple race distances and a separate youth run.
Distances:
- 50K
- 26.2 mile
- 13.1 mile
- 10K
- 5K
- Youth 1 mile
Course format uses shared routing with distance-specific shortcuts. The 50K is three laps of about 10.3 miles each; the 26.2 mile distance is four laps of 6.55 miles; the 13.1 mile race is two laps of 6.55 miles; the 10K and 5K complete one lap. Terrain reflects Texas Hill Country and includes jeep roads, singletrack, hard-packed dirt, rocks, creek beds, bluffs, ravines, climbs, drops, cacti, and exposed sections.
Course markings include orange caution tape, yellow arrows, distance signs, confidence markers, and reflective elements for low-light visibility. The event is cupless; participants must carry their own cup or bottle. Aid stations are placed so no runner needs to carry water or fuel for more than 3.5 miles; one primary aid station (Eagle Eye) supplies food, drinks, and sponsor products.
Timing uses ankle-attached chips with both gun time and chip time reported. Pacers are not allowed. The race enforces Leave No Trace practices and the park charges a $5 per person access fee, which registered racers are covered for by their event entry.
