Perfect PR Backyard
Perfect PR Backyard is a Last Runner Standing backyard ultra held in Clarkston, Michigan on May 22, 2027. The event is organized by The Ode Races and is listed as a Bronze qualifier for championship events.
The course is a closed park loop at Independence Oaks Park that circles Crooked Lake on a roomy cinder path, then follows a paved River loop through shaded woods and a 1,000+ foot boardwalk across a waterfowl preserve. The organizers describe the trail as wide and flat with multiple surfaces and no rocks or roots. Water and Tailwind are provided; racers must bring their own food starting in 2025. Permanent park bathrooms will be available during the event.
Rules and support details include that contestants provide their own aid, pacers are not permitted, crew is allowed, and racers receive a chair or cooler space within 40 yards of the start/finish. One sided canopy up to 10 by 10 feet is permitted per contestant. No hiking poles and no headphones on trails. Alcohol is permitted.
Camping is available at Camp Wilderness (tent camping only) from Friday through Tuesday for a fee per person per night; campers may access a shower facility with one paid camp night. One vehicle per active racer may park at the start/finish; additional parking is within 500 yards.
Entry fees are listed between USD 66.23 and USD 131.28. Top finishers receive guaranteed entry or discounts for future Ode to Laz backyard events, and all participants receive event apparel. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
