Perfect PR Backyard by the Ode
Perfect PR Backyard by the Ode is a Last Runner Standing event held May 22, 2027 in Clarkston, MI at Independence Oaks Park with a start/finish in the Twin Chimneys area. The format is a three hour backyard ultra on a closed park loop that combines wide, flat trails, a roomy cinder path circling Crooked Lake, a paved River loop through shaded woods, and a 1,000+ foot boardwalk across a waterfowl preserve. Permanent park bathrooms will be open and water and Tailwind are provided.
Crew is permitted and pacers are not permitted. Contestants must provide their own aid. Racers are allotted a chair or cooler space within 40 yards of the start/finish and may bring a sided canopy up to 10' x 10'. Course rules prohibit hiking poles and headphones on trails. One car per active racer may park at the start/finish; additional parking is within about 500 yards. Camping is available at Camp Wilderness for tent camping; campground use is available from Friday through Tuesday with a $6 per person per night fee and access to heated showers for campers who pay for a night.
The event is a Bronze qualifier and can provide at-large bids to the Big's Backyard World Championship. Entry fees listed range from USD 66.23 to 131.28. Registration closes Fri, May 21 at 11:59 PM ET.
