BAD SANTA TRAIL 5K
Bad Santa Trail 5K is scheduled for 12/20/2026 at Addison Oaks County Park in Leonard, Michigan. The event includes a main 5K trail race and a separate kids fun run for youth 10 years and younger; the kids distance is about 1/4 to 1/2 mile and parents may run with their child.
The course uses a mixture of dirt and blacktop trails with rolling hills. Trail conditions may include snow, ice, or mud and the course will not be plowed or salted; the event proceeds in all weather conditions. For traction the organizer recommends trail running shoes, hiking shoes, or traction devices such as Yak Trax.
Entry fees include a general 5K fee and a youth rate for participants 14 years and younger. The kids fun run is free for youth 10 and younger. Park entry is free.
Timing and awards include chip timing, finisher awards, and age-group awards for male and female categories in these ranges: 0-19, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Finishers in the kids fun run receive awards and the same event swag as 5K finishers. Hot cocoa, cookies, and a warming fire pit will be available after the event.
