Penticton Trail Race
The Penticton Trail Race takes place at the Carmi Recreational Trails in Penticton, British Columbia. This event serves as the second race in the Starting Block Interior Running Association Trail Series. The course is situated off Beaverdell Road, with the start and finish lines located at a dirt parking lot near a gravel pit.
Participants can choose between two distinct distances:
- 8.2 km Trail Race
- 3 km Fun Run
The race course utilizes a combination of dirt roads and single-track sections. This event is self-supported regarding hydration, as there are no water stations provided along the route. Participants are required to carry their own water. Port-a-potties and medical support are available at the event site.
Registration must be completed online in advance, as there is no registration available on the day of the race. Participants can pick up their race numbers on the morning of the event starting at 8:30 AM. Following the conclusion of the races, the event provides refreshments, awards, and draw prizes. For safety and insurance reasons, dogs are not permitted on the run, and participants must register using their legal names.
The event site is accessible by driving 6.8 km east on Carmi Avenue from Main Street, then turning right onto Beaverdell Road and continuing for approximately 3 km past the cattleguard crossing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
