PECO XC Junior League 2026-27 : Race 3
The PECO Junior Cross Country League stages a junior race meeting at Middleton Park, Leeds on 3 January 2027. The event is part of a five-race series held in and around Leeds and is chip timed.
Runners are grouped by age on 1 September 2026. Those aged under 11 on that date run approximately 1 mile and those aged 11 to under 16 run approximately 2 miles.
Entry is primarily by a season ticket for school years 2 to 11 priced at £8. Season tickets can only be purchased online and provide entry to the remaining league races plus the end of season relays and prize presentation. Once registered and paid, competitors keep the same race number for the season; numbers contain an embedded timing chip. Replacements for lost or damaged junior numbers are available at Race HQ for £2.50. Entry limit for the junior race meeting is 700 places.
Course and facilities: the course is an undulating cross country route of one lap and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race registration and toilets are located in the Dug Out Bar at the John Charles Centre for Sport. The race start and finish are in The Clearings, Middleton Park, about a ten minute walk from registration. There are no on-course water stations, distance markers, changing facilities, showers, or baggage storage listed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
